HOOFIELD HALL BARNS

Hoofield Hall Barns once formed part of Hoofield Hall in Clotton Hoofield, in the civil parish of Huxley, Cheshire. Situated in one of Cheshire’s most desirable locations near Tarporley, the barns open onto the courtyard of Hoofield Hall. Originally an old dairy and arable farm, the farmhouse buildings face Peckforton Hills and Beeston Castle, and feature red brick, cast iron wall ties, wooden beams, terracotta colourings and a slate roof.

Whilst initially built in a Victorian style as early as 1837, Hoofield Hall was rebuilt in the 1870s to complement the estate of Tollemache – a major landowner and estate manager in Cheshire, who later became a Baron with more land than the Duke of Westminster.

Nearby in Clotton Hoofield are 17 listed buildings, all of which are designated by English Heritage at Grade II, and included in the National Heritage List for England.
